The Job
The Paid Social Specialist will play an essential part in the building and optimization of digital marketing and customer acquisition efforts to help drive subscriber growth across WarnerMedia's HBO Max streaming platform. The candidate will work closely with the acquisition team and broader growth marketing team to execute paid social campaigns, with specific expertise in social platform ad interfaces.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about television, movies, entertainment, and technology. He/She will have a deep understanding of the video streaming industry and be a champion for the consumer. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive in nature, detail oriented and demonstrates accountability. The candidate will be part of a team that believes in being accountable, learning from mistakes and taking pride in ownership of work.
The Daily
• Build and manage large-scale social campaigns across all paid social partners (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, and more)
• Optimize campaigns to meet changing markets and competitive conditions in order to hit acquisition targets as directed using feedback & input from senior leadership
• Traffic campaign assets such as creative and required tracking tags
• Pull platform reporting to monitor campaign pacing and performance across platforms
• Leverage owned and earned data to build and report on audiences effectively
• Collect data that can be analyzed to develop optimization strategies to ensure campaign performance and drive growth
• Execute quality assurance of budgets, creative and tracking functionality to identify and solve any issues
• Proactively communicate any issues or concerns to internal teams when necessary
• Work closely to partner with other internal teams (e.g. Analytics, Media Ops, etc.) and ensure alignment of campaigns
• Collaborate with product, development, design and content to articulate product positioning, features and benefits
• Stay up to date on new platform updates and features
• Participate in internal and external learning and development opportunities (e.g. Facebook Blueprint, etc.)
The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience
• 1-2 years' experience in paid social advertising and marketing, preferably with experience in flawless execution of acquisition campaigns across multiple platforms
• Familiarity of self-serve platforms, API technology and in-platform reporting tools: Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics, Pinterest Analytics, Snap Business Manager, TikTok Business Center, Twitter Analytics, Reddit Ads
• Understanding of common marketing key performance indicator metrics, their calculation and how the metrics pertain to the success of marketing activities
• Assist in building customer segmentation and analyze data to form actionable insights to inform growth campaigns
• Exposure to advanced targeting tactics in social
• Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally with all levels, exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excels in a dynamic, data-driven, metrics-oriented environment
• Ability to both think strategically and execute tactically
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Google suite, and Google drive
