The Manager, Streaming Communications will report into Director, Communications, and support the WBD Streaming team to amplify consumer marketing campaigns, promote new product features and launches, and manage various PR and communications efforts globally on behalf of HBO Max, discovery+ and the company's planned enhanced app, set to launch in Spring 2023. The candidate should have deep entertainment experience and strong industry relationships. The role requires extensive knowledge of the press and cultural landscape, as well as the ability to be a strong cross functional partner to multiple teams, including the media relations, marketing and events teams. They will work with the Director, Communications, who is responsible for a portfolio of DTC Marketing executives, tasked with placing high impact press stories in entertainment, technology and business publications as well as securing speaking opportunities.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Develop comprehensive Originals and Multicultural Marketing communications campaign strategies to reach a diversity of audiences, and be able to strategically lead and execute those marketing PR campaigns
• Actively pitch and secure press coverage with key trade and consumer press outlets to maximize awareness of the marketing team campaigns. This includes writing press releases, media alerts, pitches and campaign wrap reports.
• Support the Director and wider streaming communications team on strategic communication planning, publicity campaign efforts and executive speaking engagements.
• Publicize Product and Technology stories, as needed
• Pitch and secure thought leadership opportunities for key executives
• Prep executives for interviews and engagements
• Identify and submit for editorial awards
• Strategize and work in partnership on junkets, premieres and tastemaker events.
• Maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with media relations, marketing and other departments across WBD.
• Establish and maintain strong press relationships
Qualifications and Experience…
• 5+ years corporate communications experience at a major television or streaming brand.
• This is a very hands-on role that requires extensive knowledge of the press and cultural landscape, as well as the ability to be a strong cross functional partner to multiple teams, including media relations peers and marketing teams
• Strong relationships at key consumer, business and trade publications, with a particular focus on multicultural, entertainment and marketing (Remezcla, Essence, Wired, FastCompany, Adweek, etc.)
• The role requires a seasoned publicity candidate who is results-oriented, as well as a clear and concise communicator
• They can anticipate messaging needs, be proactive and able to meet fast-breaking deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and ability to generate opportunities for multiple executives at a time
• Demonstrated writing skills
• Knowledge of key multicultural festivals and conventions
• Strong communication, presentation skills and positive team collaboration is a must
• Understanding of current dynamic entertainment landscape and consumer trends, as well as shifts in our business needs.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $54,600.00 - $101,400.00 salary per year.
