The Job
The Business Operations Intern (Publishing Ops) will support the day to day operations of the Publishing workstream, which is responsible for the content scheduling, uploading, and placement of assets on HBO Max. You will identify opportunity, adeptly navigate ambiguity, build strong cross-functional bridges between teams, and deliver repeatable, scalable processes that serve the needs of our cross functional partners and the business as a whole. You are diplomatic, tactical, and kind, someone who is detail-oriented but consistently keeps the bigger picture in mind. You are truly collaborative, always up for a new challenge, and enjoy making the business better for everyone.

The Daily
Biz Ops' roles and scope will evolve as the business does - adaptability and a wholehearted willingness to pivot and take on whatever is needed is essential.
• The intern will support the team with the scheduling, publishing, and uploading of assets for all HBOMax content within the internal HBOMax scheduling tool
• Work within the scheduling tool to support team in creating strategy and business requirements for the tech team, solutioning workarounds, and moving the strategic vision forward
• Support team in developing and driving communications plans to keep all key stakeholders aware of upcoming build events, major title launches, planned tool improvements, etc.
• Support the documentation and creation of training materials for existing processes and make suggestions for enhancement and simplification as needed
• Support the team in creating and presenting impactful business-case storytelling for executives and stakeholders.
• Develop strong, trusted relationships within all of our cross-functional partners
The Essentials
• 1 years of academic experience in business operations, project management, content operations or similar
• Knowledge of competitive landscape including SVOD, AVOD, and OTT services as well as knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Experience executing scheduling vision
• Thrives in ambiguous, rapidly-evolving environments, constantly, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement; start-up experience a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation and coalition building with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Knowledge of project management processes for governance and tracking; Familiarity with Agile/Lean methodologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with streaming services, digital supply-chain and content management systems (bonus points for experience with international and/or AVOD)
• Working knowledge of database, ticketing and project management tools such as Excel, Airtable, Monday.com, ServiceNow etc.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and impeccably organized.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for full duration of the internship.
• Fully remote/virtual experience; company owned laptop provided for the duration of the internship program.
• Salary based on office location; relocation is not provided.
• This position is targeted toward upperclassmen and graduate students.
