The Associate Manager for HBO Max Originals Marketing will assist in the 360-campaign development and strategy for integrated marketing campaigns of original series like Harry Potter and The White Lotus. This includes supporting the creation and production of key art suite, digital and social media content, out of home, and video/trailer assets as well as marketing strategy for the overall campaign. From initial concept to creative execution, the Associate Manager will collaborate with external agencies and internal creative partners in developing breakthrough creative while ensuring all assets align with the overarching campaign strategy, are tonally consistent across all consumer touch points, tap into innovation & experimentation, and deliver premium, engaging content for consumers. This role will report to the Vice President, Originals Marketing.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Support in the development and execution of best-in-class creative marketing materials for HBO Max Originals campaigns from inception through delivery to achieve business objectives.
• Support Managers in managing day-to-day communication with external agencies and internal creative partners in the development of key art, social media content, social media community management, paid video and digital display assets.
• Contribute to, build upon, and help facilitate big ideas (promotions, earned media stunts, activations, partnerships) that breakthrough in a cluttered, competitive consumer landscape. Take bold swings with creative ideas grounded in strategy and insights.
• Key creative team member to coordinate and contribute to paid media programs, including communication with partners and managing the execution of all assets including high-impact digital display placements, YouTube and social copy.
• Assist in 360 marketing shoots with talent and on-set capture during production that will serve the creative, social, editorial, publicity and brand campaigns.
• Create, manage and update marketing presentation decks to communicate campaign pitches, plans, and executions.
• Organize creative assets, developing briefs and marketing decks, providing script coverage and notes, and performing additional tasks to support the team as needed.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with strong project management, communication, and organization to meet key creative milestones.
• Drive execution of paid media programs, including detailed creative specs, routings and delivery of creative materials (i.e. high-impact digital displays, custom digital placements, custom A/V, social content, experiential activations, event sponsorships, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across strategy & planning, campaign management, PR, media, Brand, editorial, growth marketing, legal, international, and distribution/partner marketing on creative needs.
• Contribute to a team culture that breaks the mold, fueled by innovation and creativity in a fast-paced environment, with positive and transparent collaboration.
Qualifications & Experiences...
• 4+ years of creative marketing experience in advertising, preferably in the entertainment industry.
• Possess a sincere love for streaming entertainment, television, movies, and storytelling; fan of Harry Potter a big plus.
• Knowledge of traditional creative (AV and print) social media and digital video content including best practices and unique creative opportunities across various digital platforms.
• Strong communication skills and positive team collaboration is a must.
• High level of experience working in MS Office, PowerPoint, Google Slides. Bonus points for Adobe Creative Suite knowledge (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere).
• Well-versed in the current entertainment landscape, competitive creative campaigns and consumer trends.
• Background in one or more creative disciplines is ideal (creative writing, editorial, design, content creator).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
