About the Role
We’re looking for a contract Story Producer who lives for great stories–the kind that get people locked in, feel something, and hit replay.
At Hammer Media, Financial Audit isn’t just a show–it’s a deep dive into real lives, real money, and real turning points. In this role, you’ll be at the center of it all–uncovering the most compelling guests and shaping the narratives that drive each episode.
You’ll work closely with our Senior Producers and Casting team to go beyond surface-level conversations and uncover the real story–the decisions, the tension, the relationships. Your job is to connect the dots, find the emotional core, and bring forward guests whose stories will resonate with our audience.
This is a fully remote role, meaning you can work from anywhere. We’re looking for someone who can commit full-time on a project basis 40 hours per week and operate as a core member of the team. You’ll join pitch meetings, own your pipeline, stay highly responsive and consistently deliver at a high level.
If you’re naturally curious, know how to make people feel comfortable fast, and have a talent for turning raw information into compelling narratives–this is your seat at the table.
What You’ll Do:
• Find the Story Beneath the Surface: Screen 25 potential guests weekly, asking the right questions to uncover real, high-impact stories
• Turn Lives into Narratives: Piece together each guest’s personal journey into a clear, compelling storyline
• Pitch What Matters: Create sharp, engaging pitch decks that highlight the most must-watch storylines
• Be the Bridge: Build trust with guests, guiding them through the process and ensuring they feel heard, prepared, and excited
• Protect the Details: Maintain accurate, organized guest information and documentation across a high-volume pipeline
• Move Fast, Think Creatively: Operate with urgency while maintaining high storytelling standards in a fast-paced production environment
Who You Are:
• You’ve worked in reality TV or entertainment, and know how to spot and shape a great story
• You’re naturally curious and people-oriented–you can get someone to open up within minutes
• You have strong story instincts–you know what will resonate, what creates tension, and what keeps viewers watching
• You’re a clear, confident communicator, both written and verbal
• You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple storylines at once
• You thrive in fast-paced environments where speed and quality both matter
• You bring energy, positivity, and ownership to everything you do
