Summary: The candidate will support the Field Publicity & Promotions team. The candidate should be creative, a fan of Spanish-language television and films, and have a solid knowledge base of Latino pop culture.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Admin & Reporting:
Maintain/update internal databases, including media and promotional partner lists, contacts, and vendor database
Proofread various documents and assemble client reports
Client expense reports
Manage reports, update coverage, and compile recaps
Media Relations:
Draft pitches for media/journalists/influencers (in Spanish and English)
Responsible to pitch/follow-up with media
Radio and TV Promotions:
Coordinate giveaways/barter promotions with Hispanic media
Written Communication:
Write editorial pieces for bloggers, wesbites and print outlets
Campaign Brainstorming:
Participate in discussion sessions to ideate around publicity stunts, cross promotions, and event ideas
Targeted Word of Mouth Outreach:
Working with local organizations, schools, retail outlets and other groups to fill events and screenings
Event Planning:
Ideate and execute events that reach the targeted demographics for tv/film campaigns
Organize all logistics for events and activations
Outreach to vendors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of agency experience; with prior experience and/or interest in pursuing a career in marketing, publicity or communications
- Bilingual candidates are required (read and write in Spanish and English)
- A degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or English is preferred
- The applicant should possess excellent writing and communications skills, be detail oriented, organized, personable and be able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), as well as be Social Networking/Internet savvy
