Position: Digital Social Analyst
Reporting to: Executive Director, Digital Marketing
Location: Santa Monica, CA
GSN TV has an exciting and immediate opening for an experienced, motivated, and energetic Digital Social Analyst to help guide and grow our social media presence.
You will work with a collaborative team of social media and creative specialists to help analyze the performance of our content on social media networks and digital media performance as we grow quality awareness of our shows on all social outlets through social strategies and media campaigns.
You will be responsible for…
•Analyzing digital and social campaign activity using web based reporting tools
•Be the primary owner of social analytics for the digital marketing team and collaborate with team on social media campaigns as appropriate
•Define audience targeting for paid and organic content distribution
•Track ROI using analytics tools including Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Pinterest Analytics, and SimplyMeasured
•Interface regularly with marketing team to inform of relevant data research and make it actionable
You must have…
•1-3 years of experience in analytics
•Ability to embody our culture of being collaborative, a self-starter, competitive, passionate, bold, distinctive, innovative, creative and able to have fun!
•Solid understanding of the analytics discipline: including process, best practices, tools and techniques
•Efficient problem solver with excellent written and oral communication skills
•Passion for social media and ability to thrive in fast-paced, real-time environments and ever-changing social trends, products, technology
•Participate in brainstorm sessions
•Proficient in web analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics Radian6 and Webtrends
•Knowledge of social publishing tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.)
•Prior experience with social data reporting tools (SimplyMeasured, SocialBakers, etc)
•Knowledge of best practices of content marketing on Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, Google+, YouTube and Twitter
•Experience working with Social Media, Digital media, and Editorial
•Strong planning and excellent organizational skills
•Excellent understanding of the online media business
•Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-paced environment and under tight deadlines
•Ability to multi-task effectively
•Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills
•Excellent attention to detail
Preferred:
•Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Analysis or other related degree
(Masters degree a plus)
•Experience with social media bid management tools - both native (Facebook Ads, Pinterest Ads, Twitter Promoted Products), and third-party (Kenshoo, Swift, etc.)
•Knowledge of social media listening tools (i.e., Radian6, CrimsonHexagon)
