Position: Senior Production Coordinator
Reporting to: Executive Director, Production
Location: Santa Monica, CA
GSN Santa Monica is looking for a Senior Production Coordinator in our Programming Department. The Senior Production Coordinator will report to the Executive Director of Production.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Coordinating all materials and information for production between outside production companies and GSN.
• Executing and distributing weekly production and post-production calendars
• Creating, maintaining and distributing multiple programming calendars; Understanding and confirming receipt of all applicable insurance certificates; Overseeing all production show books for accuracy.
• Under the supervision of the Executive Director, being responsible for updating and distributing the GSN Network Guidelines to all outside producers.
• Confirming Producers' receipt and understanding of all guidelines and filing appropriate confirmation signatures.
• Making sure all documents are filed electronically in multiple online filing systems.
• Timely confirming all program deliverable requirements including show masters, camera masters, etc. (as outlined in GSN Network Guidelines for Producers).
• Processing company invoices and payments; Interfacing with the accounting department; and maintaining a grid of the status of all production payments.
• Producing and maintaining a chart of rates for staff, crew and equipment.
• Interfacing with other GSN departments and managing their production requests (e.g. Creative services, Promotion, Marketing, Ad Sales, Online, etc.).
• Tracking, documenting, and analyzing all budgets sent from producers.
• Tracking annual development and production budgets; documenting all ''actuals'' spent on shows on a grid.
• Overseeing GSN Run Thrus by making sure they are videotaped and documented, run smoothly and run on time.
• Distributing all call sheets and schedules received from outside productions within GSN, as well as handling parking logistics and drive-ons for all executives.
• Managing all storage of sets and GSN assets upon completion of production company storage responsibility.
• Managing internal storage of documents, props, etc.
• Supporting all additional production needs on a network basis as requested.
• Organizing and distributing music cue sheets to appropriate music guilds.
• Coordinating with post production team to make sure all cuts are sent digitally and physically to network on time.
• Supervising and distributing cuts internally and burning DVDs when copies are needed.
• Administering and overseeing Media Silo and wrap deliverables.
• Fulfilling administrative duties such as handling phone lines for SVP and Executive Director, scheduling internal and external meetings and business meals, and preparing expense reports.
You must have…

• Experience and knowledge in the areas of production and post-production management.
• Proficiency & knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Power Point, Word, Excel, Calendar Creator as well as Media Silo and Sharepoint.
• A working knowledge of budgets for non-scripted in studio and field television pilots and series; Movie Magic/EP budgeting software training a plus. Candidate must have experience with cost reports and an understanding of production crew, staff positions and rates.
• Problem solving skills and experience in the demands of multiple television series in production simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to multi-task effectively; well organized and a self-starter.
• Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills.
• A working knowledge of non-linear post production practices and post production terminology.
Education Qualifications:
College Degree preferred.
Experience Qualifications:
Required Minimum: Minimum of 3 years of practical production and/or production finance experience, including studio operations & field operations.
Network experience a plus.
