Associate Agent / Theater Assistant

Gray Talent Group is adding to our theater team. We are either looking to add an Associate Agent (someone with previous agency experience) or an Agent's Assistant (someone without agency experience). While the position will largely overlap in duties, job title/compensation will be dependent on previous experience. We often promote internally so upward mobility is still available to those that are hired at the assistant level. This is a full-time salaried position supporting the Chicago, New York and regional theater department.

Gray Talent Group is a talent agency representing actors in film, theater, commercials and voice overs. Founded in Chicago in 2008, we currently have offices in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York. We provide a hands-on and honest approach to guiding actors through their careers and procuring exciting and artistically fulfilling job opportunities on their behalf.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to) preparing and sending appointments/auditions, editing and delivering tapes to casting directors, coordinating scheduling with casting offices and actor meetings, managing actors' materials, maintaining audition tracking and databases and attending theater performances. Familiarity with inEntertainment, Breakdown Express, and Casting Networks is a plus, but not required. Looking for a self starter with a no-task-too-small mentality.

We are a hybrid office with a mix of working in the office and remotely. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm. However we must react quickly to requests that come in from casting directors and producers and there is after-hour and weekend work that does occur as needed, so someone with previous industry experience and understanding of the schedule/work load that representation entails is a huge plus.

Agents' Assistant Salary: $30,000 is the base salary. Plus quarterly bonuses. Last year our assistants took home between $42,500 to $50,000 in total compensation.

Associate Agent Salary: $35,000 is the base salary. Plus quarterly bonuses. Last year our associates took home between $50,000 to $55,000 in total compensation.
