We are growing and seeking an experienced, driven, and well-connected International Sales & Acquisitions Executive to join our team. This role is critical to expanding our global sales network, identifying commercially viable projects, and helping position Latin American creativity at the heart of worldwide distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with international distributors, broadcasters, streaming platforms, and buyers across all territories.
Negotiate and close licensing deals for a slate of feature films, documentaries, and TV content - with a strong focus on elevating Latin American talent.
Participate in the creation of short to long-term strategy of sales, including creating sales estimates and projections, deciding on sales planning in coordination with internal teams (e.g., timing, marketing materials, market/festival attendance), and help build and structure a new sales department.
Attend key international markets and festivals (e.g., AFM, EFM, Cannes, TIFF, Ventana Sur, FICG) to represent Grandave's slate and source new opportunities.
Proactively source and evaluate third-party projects, especially from Latin filmmakers, for potential acquisition and international sales.
Work closely with the production and finance teams to align project development with international market demand.
Prepare and present sales projections, deal memos, and regular market intelligence updates.
Monitor industry trends, buyer needs, and emerging markets to strategically guide acquisition and sales strategies.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in international film sales, acquisitions, or distribution.
Strong network of global buyers, streamers, and distributors.
Passion for Latin American cinema and culture; experience working with Latin filmmakers is highly preferred.
Deep understanding of film markets, distribution strategies, and international film economics.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple territories.
Experience building a new team from the ground up.
Fluent in English; Spanish fluency or strong proficiency is a major plus.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
