The job duties would include (but aren't limited to):
- reaching out to prospective artists to discuss potential PR campaigns with the company.
- vetting and talking to prospective artists who submit their music to the company for review and consideration
- work with our publicity staff to close sales for their prospective leads
- interact with potential clients via social media
- networking and developing relationships in the local community.
- represent Gramophone Media at networking events when needed
In addition, the ideal candidate would possess...
- 3-4 years of prior experience within music PR and/or sales.
- strong sales or customer relations background; ability to ''close'' deals and manage high-maintenance clients when needed
- top-notch writing and verbal communication skills
- presents himself/herself in a very professional manner; dresses and grooms well
- excellent team player and works well in tandem with CMO in generating new ideas or strategies (doesn't just rely on what your manager tells you to do)
- strong understanding of the current music landscape and broad range of musical tastes.
- excellent people skills and emotional intelligence
- excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and plan ahead
- honesty, integrity, dependability, and loyalty
- good health (no consistent or prolonged periods of absence due to illness)
