The GRAMMY Museum, a non-profit institution, explores and celebrates the enduring legacies of all forms of music; the creative process; the art and technology of the recording process; and the history of the GRAMMY® Awards.
Internships with The GRAMMY Museum are for one semester and Interns can work up to 20 hours per week.
The roles and responsibilities of the Production Intern include the following:
• Producing an event from beginning to end (i.e. either a film or lecture series, artist interviews, curator talks or town hall meetings);
• Assisting Production Manager with live sound editing and lighting operations;
• Learning about post-production audio mixing and video editing tools;
• Collaborating with industry professionals including: artists, agents and production staff to ensure all performances at the GRAMMY Museum are successful.
The minimum qualifications to be an Intern include the following:
• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university while pursuing a degree in Music, Music Technology, Music Recording, Music Industry, or Production;
• Some knowledge about film technology and skills in audio/video, production and/or editing is desired;
• Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and take initiative
• Ability to work a varied schedule, especially nights and weekends;
• Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
