Search for Manager, Digital Music Outreach jobs in Los Angeles-CA
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with senior management to identify, develop and implement strategies for creating relationships with up and coming and established music artists, management, agents and label executives, specifically within the digital/social media realm of the recording industry
- Understand and identify where music opportunities exist in the digital & social spaces while at the same time understanding their ability to cross over into the traditional music sphere
- Create both a short term and long-range strategy with this focus as it applies to brand goals and objectives
- Work with events team to identify and support third party events that focus on celebrating emerging talent
- Be the point of direct engagement between Red Bull Records, GRACE and third parties
- Build and manage innovative and impactful brand partnership for developing artist projects
- Attend relevant industry related events and social networking to help expand upon existing network, increase knowledge about online areas of opportunity and stay on top of all social media trends
- Manage project-related budgets and maintain fiscal accountability for all programs
- Work with internal teams to oversee and schedule personalized outreach to industry contacts
- Collaborate with internal teams on projects such as quarterly/yearly highlight reels, newsletter content and all other client related updates and deliverables
- Make timely, impactful recommendations that will help grow the brand, based on your research and relationship building
An ideal candidate should have:
- At least 2+ years of experience working in the music industry or with digital media platforms
- Knowledge of music and the Music Industry; both in a traditional and digital space
- Taste-making sensibility a plus
- Strong ability to network within the new media industry and maintain relationships
- Possess the aptitude to know when to take risks to push team to the next level
- Experience with client development and strategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship building
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and desire to optimize processes and efficiencies
- General knowledge and interest in music, pop culture and the cultural marketplace and aspirational brands in all segments
- Ability to problem solve and multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
- High proficiency in the complete Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) and excellent understanding of utilizing online and network-based tools for research purposes
- Ability to handle yourself professionally under pressure
