The Talent Coordinator (TC) is responsible for the handling and successful execution of Gotham Artists' events from start to finish. The TC reports to Gotham's Director of Client Operations to coordinate Gotham's live events--ranging from keynote speeches to comedy shows to musical performances. The TC will work closely with Gotham Artists agents, their Clients, and Talent and is vital to the success of every event.
Responsibilities include:
-Acting as a liaison between Clients and Talent making sure communication is clear, direct, and accurate.
-Booking travel (e.g. flights, ground, hotel and related services) for events and creating detailed itineraries for both Talent and Client
-Organizing conference call
-Handling book sales and coordinating additional aspects of Talent's appearance
-From time to time, be ''on call'' during evenings and weekends for event management or logistical emergencies
Helpful qualities a future Talent Coordinator would have are:
-Strong Communication Skills (Can you successfully deliver information between Clients and Talent? Are you good at anticipating Client and Talent needs?)
-Creative Problem Solving Skills (Can you pull the proverbial rabbit out of a hat when say...a speaker is stranded at the airport with a cancelled flight?)
-Excellent Planning Skills (Are you the type of person who builds an extra 10 minutes into their schedule in case a truck gets stuck in the road?)
-Great Interpersonal Skills (This is all about being Client and Talent facing--can you handle tough situations with understanding? Do you enjoy connecting people?)
-Backgrounds/Experiences with Events (or a desire to learn more!)
