Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Booking Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strong industry relationships, a deep understanding of touring logistics, and sharp financial acumen. You will be responsible for booking and executing national tours, managing all aspects from routing and negotiation to settlement, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Tour Planning & Strategy:
Develop and execute comprehensive national tour plans across markets
Strategically route tours to maximize attendance, revenue, and logistical efficiency
Assess market demand and advise on venue scaling, hold strategies, and ticket allotments
Booking & Negotiations:
Identify, pitch, and secure bookings for artists across appropriate venues and festivals
Negotiate performance fees, backend structures, splits, and deal terms with venues and promoters
Draft and manage offers, contracts, and counteroffers to close bookings efficiently and profitably
Industry Relationships:
Maintain and grow a strong network of promoters, venue operators, artist managers, agents, and talent buyers
Serve as a trusted point of contact and advocate for both artists and partners throughout the booking process
Financial Management:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis of tour projections and actuals, including ticket pricing models and P&Ls
Collaborate with internal teams on show budgets, marketing spends, settlements, and financial recaps
Evaluate show-by-show performance and make recommendations to optimize tour profitability
Show Execution Support:
Coordinate with internal production, marketing, and ticketing teams to ensure successful on-sale and show execution
Work closely with artists and managers to align touring schedules with release timelines and promotional goals
Monitor ticket sales and work with teams to adjust strategy as needed to support performance targets
Market Intelligence & Growth:
Track touring trends, market saturation, venue performance, and industry shifts to stay competitive
Identify emerging opportunities and new revenue streams for artists and company growth
Contribute to strategic discussions around the company's talent roster, tour portfolio, and expansion plans
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience booking and routing national tours
Strong knowledge of the U.S. touring landscape, including venues in the 300-2,000 seat range
Deep relationships within the music and live entertainment industries
Experience analyzing tour and show-level finances, including dynamic pricing and settlement models
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple active projects
Exceptional negotiation, organization, and communication skills
Comfortable with CRM tools, booking software, and Excel/Google Sheets
Experience working with both indie and major promoters and agencies
Familiarity with tour production and marketing processes
Passion for music, live entertainment, and artist development
