As a Music Studio Intern for GoodTalk you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a music studio. You will work closely with artists, producers, engineers, and our studio manager to ensure that recording sessions run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
Studio Maintenance: Keeping the studio clean and organized, setting up and tearing down equipment, and ensuring that the studio is in optimal condition for recording sessions.
Equipment Management: Assisting with equipment inventory, tracking, and maintenance. Setting up and testing microphones, headphones, and other studio gear.
Studio Assistance: Assisting with scheduling and coordinating recording sessions, managing studio bookings, and ensuring that artists and producers have everything they need during their sessions, including refreshments and supplies.
Studio Support: Providing general support during recording sessions, such as running errands for artist, producers, and engineers.
Artist Relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with artists, producers, and other studio personnel, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive studio experience for all parties involved.
Studio Operations: Assisting with administrative tasks, such as managing studio calendars and responding to emails.
Learning Opportunities: Actively engaging in learning opportunities to gain knowledge and skills in recording techniques, studio operations, and music production.
Qualifications:
Passion for music and familiarity with various music genres.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic knowledge of recording equipment and studio operations.
Proficient in using Google suite
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, as recording sessions may take place outside regular business hours.
Enrolled in or completed a relevant music or audio engineering program is preferred but not required.
