About this Position
The Golden State Warriors are looking for a Manager to help with kitchen responsibilities as directed by the Director, Kitchen Operations working exclusively in the GSW and GSV Team Campus Coaches and Players lounge.
This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate meal plans at home. Daily food preparation, cooking, and service to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation. Basic cooking, plating, and delivery of meals to players, coaches, & staff.
• Monitor inventory levels (i.e., food, supplies, snacks, and beverages); place orders for supplies and ingredients, and check deliveries
• Maintain vendor relationships to secure high-quality ingredients
• Strictly enforce all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain the cleanliness, organization, and proper function of all commercial kitchen equipment
• Work directly with Performance Team to implement performance-focused menus; complete detailed notes daily on player diet, allergies, and preferences
• Coordinate food service for team travel, which may involve working with external hotels, catering companies, and venues to ensure the team's dietary standards and performance menus are maintained on the road
• Manage food service for team events and family meals as needed; maintain the team's standard of excellence
• Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
• General knowledge of kitchen appliances including start up, maintenance, and shut down
• Current Food Handlers's certification
• Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience, preferably for a professional sports team
• Familiarity with kitchen health and safety regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Flexibility with changing priorities; ability to organize, prioritize and handle workload
• Strong customer service orientation and business etiquette
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to build positive working relationships with team members
Time Commitment
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
