About the Position
The Golden State Warriors are looking for an Assistant to support the Public Affairs team and aid in the organization's external and community engagement efforts tied to Chase Center and Golden State Warriors (GSW) in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. This position reports to the Manager, Public Affairs.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the execution of external, community and government affairs programming to create and maintain a favorable image of Chase Center and GSW
• Assist in the day-to-day responsibilities of the Public Affairs team; support Coordinator and Manager as needed
• Lead all aspects of department donation and contribution program, including event sponsorships, ticket distribution, silent auction items, inventory and storage
• Answer department phone and emails; filter and triage public requests and inquiries
• Ensure Warriors in the Neighborhood website and communications is updated regularly and in a timely manner
• Provide excellent customer service to internal customers and represent the company to external audiences as needed
• Document community engagement activities and maintain records of conversations, materials distributed, events held, and participation
• Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in political science or business/sports management, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 1 year in public and government affairs, community relations, cause-marketing, sports marketing and/or corporate social responsibility, preferably for a venue or sports team; 1 year of administrative or project/event management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization and community
• Excellent written and verbal communication, service and resolution skills
• Ability to balance multiple projects in a demanding and fast-paced work environment
Time Commitment
• Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to travel locally for events and meetings
