Manager, Social Media (GSV)
About the Position
We are looking for a Manager to create engaging social media content around team launch and basketball-related events. In this role, you will lead content strategy across various social media platforms for our growing global audience. This is a full-time position based onsite in Oakland with game days and other events in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as lead publisher for the new WNBA x Golden State social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube)
• Lead content strategy around team launch and tentpole basketball-related events (All-Star Game, Playoffs, Draft, etc.)
• Work in tandem with Social Media team to deliver social media strategy
• Establish relationships with internal teams and the League to consistently provide updates on social media trends and implement best practices
• Create content that serves a worldwide audience
• Manage at least one direct report
• Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of digital or social media experience
• Knowledge of social media platforms and strategies to optimize engagement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier
• Intimate understanding for the game of basketball and the team including game day events, statistics, etc.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication, service and resolution skills
• Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
Time Commitment
• Ability to work home games and special events in San Francisco, CA
• Away game travel is required
Compensation
• $35.00 - 37.00 per hour Bonus
