The Product Management department is responsible for the nurturing and enhancement of GEE's overall product set across multiple verticals including airline and maritime. Within the scope of this remit, we manage the GEE product portfolio across both existing products (lifecycle management) and new products which are under development, ensuring cohesion across the product landscape. The end-to-end product lifecycle initially sees ideas being turned into concepts, ROI and commercial opportunities quantified. Once there is a clear business case or strategic intent, requirements are generated, supplier strategies formulated, products are created with subsequent customer rollouts and roadmap enhancements through to the eventual retiring of non-performing products.To support customer advocacy during the Sales cycle, where relevant the Product Management team will customize the product portfolio into the airline's brand and tone of voice.Product Management touches all aspects of the GEE business, collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, Marketing/Business Development and Finance.
Key responsibilities
Generate and manage the product development of GEE's products throughout the entire product development lifecycle, managing the customization of products for rollout with customers.
Manage Development lifecycle through requirement generation and documentation, phasing features appropriately through management of the product roadmap
Work with internal software development teams to drive the execution of the product roadmap
Work with B2B partners (airlines) and B2B2B (OEM partners) to understand launch and customization requirements, blending airlines objectives with internal tactical and strategic objectives.
Work with User Experience designers to deliver a best-in-class product user interface
Work closely with Sales & Account Management teams to input and shape contracts, create, price and agree SOWs (Statements of Work) covering the development of incremental features.
Provide strategic and tactical direction around the planning and design of new products, services/applications for GEE products.
Strategize to generate additional revenue streams by managing the services/applications that run on all GEE Portals and related products
Drive the coordination across various groups within GEE such as Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Content
Prepare and deliver management communications to senior leaders.
Work closely with Project Management team to ensure dependencies & key milestones are understood, communicated and managed.
Effectively manage costs
Develop and manage external vendor relationships.
Qualifications
Strong technical background with an emphasis on web technologies and client-side applications (Android and iOS).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing or related industry required.
3 to 5 years of product management experience highly desired.
Demonstrated ability to drive product management, product planning and marketing through launch.
Familiarity in working within Agile Software Development in addition to the Atlassian suite of Jira and Confluence.
Excellent project management skills. Ability to establish priorities, manage multiple projects/priorities at once, establish timelines/milestones to achieve objectives, co-ordinate teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create presentations & present effectively to different audiences - technical, senior leadership and customers.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of employees across the business
Ability to operate effectively under pressure of deadlines.
