Role Summary
The Client Account Manager serves as the primary business contact for the United Airlines account. The CAM leads and grows the relationship and provides excellent service and communication. This high profile role is the main point of contact for all initiatives relating to United, and works with their account team and intra-company to ensure that delivery of products is satisfactory and well executed within timelines and budget. The successful candidate will have a passion for media content and technology, and has the ability to learn the technical elements in order to enhance the passenger experience.
Job Duties
Maintain a 360 view of the account
Communicate often with the client at many levels to ensure responsibilities, timelines, deliverables and product expectations are met if not exceeded
Grow relationship with the client to encourage new and repeat business opportunities
Instigate regular reviews of GEE offering and overall content strategy
Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets
Comfortable with creating decks and making presentations to upper management
Provide regular creative and innovative ideas and reviews to client with support from appropriate areas of the business
Responsible for oversight of invoicing, annual client budget, understanding of cost of sales and forecasting
Understanding of all Global Eagle products client utilizes, and where opportunities exist
Overall project lead to customer. Responsible for ensuring projects are within scope, on time and on budget
Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on specific Client engagements. Escalation when necessary
Represent client needs and initiatives within the Global Eagle organization to achieve mutual goals
Skills/Interests
Proactively plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
A passion for what is trending in content and culture
Curiosity about ways to improve the customer experience through inflight entertainment and connectivity
Handle stressful situations and deadline pressures well
Flexible and able to pivot based on competing priorities
Understanding of revenue and profit margin. Experience in budgeting and forecasting, content licensing preferred
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in managing projects
Contract understanding and usage as base for business relationship
Motivated, goal orientated, persistent and a negotiator
Enjoyment and comfort level with giving presentations
Able to write business communication
Open to coaching for improvement
Qualifications/Experience
Degree in related field
3+ years of industry exposure: In-Flight Entertainment, Studio or other Content provider, Commercial Airlines, WIFI, OEM, Connectivity or Telecom
Interest and ability to understand high-level technology hardware/software/ satellite based solutions
Demonstrable success in areas such as: account management, business development, project management, product management, innovation
