OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
The Media Asset Manager is responsible for documenting, uploading, cataloging, and tagging all post-production media for Gibson TV. The role relies heavily on outstanding organizational skills and a clear understanding of production and post-production workflows.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and establish MAM best practices for Gibson TV and Marketing video assets
• Upload, catalogue, and tag incoming and backlogged media files to server, cloud storage and DAM
• Support internal and external teams with video asset acquisition requests
• Implement efficiencies and improvements to asset management workflows
• Handle media management on set
• Curate and distribute video assets for special projects
• Coordinate the transfer of footage to editors
• Provide support to the Gibson TV video editing team
• Maintain film equipment inventory
Other:
While the Asset Media Manager must be proficient in executing the responsibilities noted above, tasks of equal value are required in this role:
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Gibson employees locally and globally to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions
• Execute other tasks as reasonably requested
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Required Experience and Qualifications:
• 3+ years of asset management experience and knowledge of MAM best practices
• 3+ years of post-production experience in a professional environment
• Possess basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
• Experience with network storage devices, organizing large amounts of files, and file naming conventions
• Video editing experience and understanding of production and post-production workflows
• DIT experience a plus
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere a plus
• Demonstrate extreme attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Possess ability to remain poised under pressure
• Comfortable engaging with all types of people in a professional, conscientious, and effective manner
• High level of self-motivation
• Ability to effectively engage in multiple assignments concurrently, including ability to assess and manage priorities
• Local to LA or willing to relocate (position will be a mix of remote and in-office work)
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
TRAVEL
Periodic domestic travel to shoot locations may be required (up to 10-20%).
