Job Summary:
Giant Interactive is seeking a full time Post Production IT Network Specialist in its Burbank studio. The IT Network Specialist will oversee all network switches, SAN, NAS, Shoretel POE phones, fiber network, and general office help desk ticket support. The ideal candidate will be responsible of setup and maintenence of office computers (PC/MAC/Linux) for both general office purposes as well as production ecosystem. High level troubleshooting a must!
Duties and Responsibilities
-setup and maintain PCs and Macs for admin and production networks
-Monitor, manage, and maintain entire IT infrastructure
-Support and troubleshoot internal network issues
-Software installation
-Maintain SAN and NAS storage
-Respond quickly and effectively to any technical issues regarding data ingest, transport, and storage
-Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members
Requirements
-Working experience with data transport tools such as iTunes Transporter, FTP, Aspera, and Signiant
-Knowledge of Java, JSON, REST, and Python is a plus
-Working experience with the configuration and management of NAS and SAN
-Knowledge of CLI tools and capabilities
-Network and video production hardware troubleshooting
-SMB, NFS, CIFS experience
-FFMPEG experience a plus
-Knowledge of TPN and MPAA security requirements a big plus
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience
-Associate's degree or higher in information technology, information sciences, network administration or a related field.
-At least 3 years of experience, ideally in a Media Services or Post-Production environment.
