How do I hire a Metadata Packaging Operator? Giant Interactive, a leading digital distribution company, conveniently located in Burbank, CA is looking for a full-time,
experienced Metadata Packaging Operator.
We have offices in Los Angeles and New York and offer an opportunity for growth. We are a diverse and friendly office and are looking for the right candidate to join our team.
Job Requirements:
-Perform delivery of digital media files and packages using FTP, SFTP, Aspera (Console, Client a Faspex),
iTunes Transporter, Signiant, and other file transfer methodologies.
- Assemble finalized assets into one complete delivery package
- Resizing and optimizing images based on specific platform requirements
- Operation of computer systems with various operational tools and data management software.
- Update internal database and manage work accordingly in relation to priorities list.
- Work alongside all other departments to ensure files are delivered on time and correct.
- Technical understanding of the various codec formats.
- Experience with digital video/audio encoding systems a plus.
- Strong familiarity with a variety of digital platform specs - Netflix, iTunes, Google, Amazon, etc
- General knowledge of video & audio files, metadata (basic HTML/XML), checksums, packaging processes, etc.
- Logically analyze and fix failed metadata and image submissions.
-Download files from various clients, then efficiently organize them to the SAN.
-Perform additional tasks on an as-needed basis.
Education/Skills requirement:
- 1+ years of digital entertainment metadata and packaging experience.
- Working knowledge of Mac Captions.
- Strong computer skills: knowledge of MAC OS and PC.
- Experience in building out metadata to platform specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
