Search for Digital Distribution Metadata Technician jobs in Burbank-CA
The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of experience creating metadata, packaging assets, and delivering features and episodic content to various platforms common to digital distribution (iTunes, Hulu, Google, Amazon, and other common OTT platforms).
In this role, the Metadata and Packaging Technician will build metadata to platform spec, sync caption and subtitle files, as well push packages through actual delivery (Transporter, Aspera, etc) and delivery confirmation. Great opportunity for someone who is a team oriented, technically skilled, systems oriented, and has an overall ''Roll Up Your Sleeves'' approach to troubleshooting.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of packaging specs and xml creation for platforms common to digital distribution.
Full understanding of completing deliveries using Aspera, Transporter and other file transferring methods
Assemble finalized assets into one complete delivery package
Working knowledge of photoshop to resize and optimizing images based on specific platform requirements
Asset management - backing up and restoring projects as needed
Working with other departments to ensure deliveries are correct and on time
Expert knowledge of Mac Captions
Highly efficient in conforming and troubleshooting timed text files (.scc, .itt, etc)
Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to clearly explain asset and delivery issues
Familiarity with basic film/video concepts, such as resolution, frame rate, NTSC, PAL, HD
Technical understanding of the various codec formats
Experience with digital video/audio encoding systems a plus
Qualifications:
1+ years of digital entertainment metadata and packaging experience
Experience in building out metadata to platform specification.
Knowledge of Digital Delivery process from assets received through upload to digital
Keen attention to detail
Ability to work in a self-directed and fast-paced environment
Strong organization skills and ability to manage a heavy workload
Excellent follow-through
MAC and PC proficiency
Highly developed problem solving skills
Resourceful and highly reliable
Ability to work flexible shifts if needed (AM, PM, Weekends)
