We are seeking a Royalty Analyst, Label Administration, with ideally 2+ years of record label experience.
Location: This position can be based out of Nashville (TN), New York City, Los Angeles (CA) or White Plains (NY) on a hybrid basis.
Overview of Role: The Analyst, Label Administration, is responsible for preparing royalty statements and allocation schedules on behalf of independent record label and music clients
Responsibilities:
• Prepare mechanical, artist, producer or net profit royalty accountings for independent label clients
• Summarize artist and third-party agreements and apply key provisions to the preparation of royalty statements
• Analyze sales data files from various distribution sources
• Music product metadata, artist royalty rates and mechanical license setup in royalty accounting software
• Other projects and duties as assigned
A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree is required
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role working with mechanical, artist, producer or net profit royalty accountings
• Working knowledge of recording agreements and royalty calculations
• Working knowledge of royalty accounting software (RoyaltyShare, Curve, Record Maestro, or SR1)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas (such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF) - bonus points for experience with Power Pivot and Power Query
• Solid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.e., communication, time management, attention to detail, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.)
The candidate must also:
• Be a self-motivated and detail-oriented analytical thinker
• Possess excellent verbal/written communication skills and reading comprehension
• Understand basic mathematical and accounting principles
• Work well independently and in a team environment
• Be eager to learn new skills and concepts
• Want to help creative artists

This is a non-exempt, overtime eligible position. Employee compensation is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, employee education/training/credentials, employee work experience, work location (including if the employee will be hybrid or fully in-office), the scope and responsibilities of the role, internal peer equity, and market considerations. Applicants will be considered for the Analyst and Senior Analyst level. The expected base compensation hiring range for these positions is as follows:
• Analyst: $57,013 to $60,029 per year
• Sr. Analyst: $70,034 to $80,538 per year
