We are looking for a Manager, Residuals & Participations to establish systems and practices for all divisions of Gaumont. This position will be based in our West Hollywood office and will report to the VP, Finance & Operations.
The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, able to process many simultaneous tasks with accuracy, have strong communication skills, can manage multiple processes simultaneously, and take the initiative to drive process improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Create models for participation statements for backend participants of television, film, and acquisition projects in compliance with talent and producer agreements, in accordance with company definitions, standards and policies.
• Review various contracts to determine and record residual payment obligations, including market exploitation rights, territories, and term durations for both new and existing titles.
• Assist Finance and Accounting team with monthly and quarterly reporting as needed.
• Respond to internal and external audits by researching and supplying source data and documentation.
• Provide estimates for ultimate residuals liability for various projects.
• Coordinate with Entertainment Partners to ensure that projects are properly setup in the residuals system.
• Prepare and send out quarterly and semi-annual participation statements to talent and their representatives.
• Coordinate the payment of all residuals and participations in a timely manner.
• Calculate amortization of residuals and participations expenses on a quarterly basis.
• Establish innovative systems for reporting participations for new types of projects.

• Curious, passionate, and enthusiastic about entertainment residuals / participations / finance / accounting. Aspiring writers / directors / actors / etc. need not apply.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo, to advocate for Gaumont culture and to always act in Gaumont's best interest
Education / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Must have experience working in film / television residuals or participations. 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• French speaking a plus.
