Gamechanger CEO Effie T. Brown is an award-winning film, television, and digital producer known for championing inclusion and diversity in Hollywood, both behind and in front of the camera. Brown has produced several critically acclaimed films and award-winning projects including?The Inspection,?Real Women Have Curves,?Dear White People?(Independent Spirit Awards Best First Screenplay), HBO's?Project Greenlight?(Executive Produced by Matt Damon & Ben Affleck), among several others. Brown also served as an executive producer on Lee Daniels''sTAR?on FOX and Disney Channel's?Zombies.?? Brown serves as the Chair of the Academy Museum Inclusion Advisory Committee.
Gamechanger also recently founded a nonprofit with a mission to prepare the next generation of producers, executives, and filmmakers drawn from underrepresented communities for professional success, and to catalyze equity in the industry. GCNP will launch programming in 2023, including mentorships, master classes, and fiscal sponsorships.

JOB TITLE: HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION
-
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Pitch and sell company-owned IP and formats to domestic and international broadcasters and distributors.
• Manage and track the status of many projects in development, production or post-production.
• Works closely with Line Producers and Production Accountants across a range of budget levels to review schedules, budgets and cashflows, monitor cost reports, hot costs, residuals, and security deposits.
• Assesses production locations and tax incentive opportunities.
• Solicit, analyze and evaluate material for development and production.
• Review and respond to creative script submissions, write rejection letters relating to all levels of submissions.
• Oversee script coverage readers and Gamechanger's Internship Program.
• Generate notes/documents on projects from every stage of production from development through post.
• Maintain and compile lists of writers, directors, actors, showrunners, producers.
• Prepare and attend presentations and pitches to potential partners.
• Prepare corporate reports which outline Company's development and production situations and provides analysis of current and prospective market trends in the US and Internationally.
• Strong producer who knows how to bring a creative vision to life.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and highly collaborative - loves working with others, isn't afraid to lead or follow.
• Must be able to prioritize and handle several projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment while adhering to shifting deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working directly with talent and talent representation, in meetings and on shoots/sets.
• High tolerance for change, and the capacity to accomplish enormous amounts of work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in development and physical production for feature films and series.
• Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented to manage many projects simultaneously
• Ability to travel (as many productions are not shot in Los Angeles).
• Knowledge and experience with tax incentives, preferred.
• Knowledge in union and guilds: IA, DGA, WGA Teamsters and SAG (Modified Low Budget through Basic agreement)
• Knowledge of Final Draft, Postproduction flow
• Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft (Sharepoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Docs), Airtable, Movie Magic Budgeting & Scheduling.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to analyze the results of your work.
• Proven leader who cares about culture, building relationships and delivering best-in-class work.

PAY:?The pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience is: $100,000-175,000 annually.??
