JOB DESCRIPTION
SVP, Creative and Cultural Diversity, FX Networks and FX Productions
The SVP, Creative and Cultural Diversity is responsible for the development and execution of programs, and initiatives to produce a diverse, welcoming and inclusive workforce and culture across FX Networks, FX Productions and all FX original programs. On these issues, the SVP will be a key inflection point in the interaction between all FX Creative and production staff and FX talent, showrunners, producers of any FX series. In this role, the SVP will partner with leaders across FX to strengthen our brand with diverse audiences, consumers, distributions partners, drive diversified content, and foster an inclusive work environment at all levels within FX and FX Productions that are consistent with the company's brand and core values. The incumbent will also collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Development, and Human Resources to attract, develop, and retain a workforce that mirrors our global audiences. The SVP will report to the Chairman, FX Networks & FX Productions.
Responsibilities:
• Provides subject matter expertise, coaching, and guidance to showrunners and producers to identify opportunities to advance diversity and inclusion, including the depiction of diverse talent and reviewing potential controversial content.
• Leads outreach and market research to identify insights and business opportunities that are compelling and relevant to diverse audiences.
• Develops and executes strategies consistent with FX culture to achieve a diverse and inclusive environment within all FX original series production.
• Partners with leaders to create strategies and best practices that drive multicultural consumer and viewer growth and engagement for FX Networks.
• Partners with senior leadership and WDT Diversity & Inclusion to establish programs and initiatives to drive employment engagement and inclusion. Identifies opportunities to advance diversity and accessibility.
• Partners with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources on best practices to attract and retain a diverse workforce and deliver learning opportunities that deepen FX expertise regarding multicultural consumers.
• Communicates and aligns multicultural strategies, also creates and facilitates forums to discuss common opportunities, challenges and best practices across FX Networks and FX Productions.
• Identifies and guides FX Network's social responsibility and community engagement efforts in partnership with Enterprise Social Responsibility leadership.
• Builds and maintains performance metrics and tools that support business objectives.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years working at a TV or film content creation business.
• Proven ability to develop and execute initiatives that require broad-based buy-in for success.
• Positive and persuasive collaborator/influencer with the ability to lead and inspire change.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to integrate diversity and inclusion measures into company objectives-including industry benchmarks, leading practices and innovations.
• Must be autonomous and decisive, able to oversee and manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Must be solution-orientated, finding innovative opportunities to improve the status quo.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
