Executive Assistant, Office of the Chairman (FX)
Job Summary:
Disney Entertainment Television is seeking a forward-thinking, motivated Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Chairman of FX. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive, resourceful, and flexible demeanor and will manage their role by applying critical thinking skills in a highly collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will also have a strong affinity for the FX brand and programming.
The successful candidate is curious, adaptive, driven, passionate, and quick to respond to challenges while managing busy calendars and ever-shifting priorities. Additionally, the Executive Assistant will develop strong partnerships throughout the company and will require a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the Chairman. Responsibilities include scheduling meetings across multiple time zones, departments, and brands while respecting the need for flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing environment.
• Represent the office of the Chairman by effectively communicating with teams at all levels across the FX, National Geographic and Onyx brands while fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
• Answer and roll phone calls with a strong understanding of the industry landscape.
• Travel management including upkeep of frequent flier accounts, flights, hotels, car service, taxis, etc.
• Expense management including expense reports and check requests.
• Curate meeting preparation materials including compiling grids, researching industry leaders, and curating relevant information across multiple brands.
• Coordinate and distribute materials pertaining to Chairman's needs with other FX and Disney Entertainment departments; ensure departments have all necessary materials.
• Evaluate material (Scripts, Rough Cuts, Outlines, Submissions), including reading scripts and outlines, watching rough cuts, and compiling read and watch submissions for the Chairman's weekend read.
• Track upcoming premieres and advise the Chairman's communication with talent.
• Update department documents and content tracking portals.
• Handle requests for network meetings/parties and gifts for talent.
• Manage building services requests and order office supplies and refreshments as needed.
• Have a deep, comprehensive understanding of the brands and their current slates.
• Must be able to work 5 days a week in the FX office in Century City. The FX office will relocate to Burbank in late 2025.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years' administrative experience supporting a senior-level executive at a talent agency, production company, studio, or network.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills, precise attention to detail, and commitment to follow-through. Must be proactive, dependable, patient, and self-assured.
• Due to a high volume of information and material flowing through the department, must be able to manage and disseminate information punctually and accurately.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of leadership and the ability to effectively liaise with productions, agencies, other studios, etc.
• Demonstrate professionalism and the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Collaborative working style and strong people skills.
• Ability to anticipate the executive's needs and effectively handle frequently changing priorities with a positive and professional demeanor.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data sets.
• Exceptional skills utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting an SVP or above.
• Knowledge of Airtable and PIX a plus.
Preferred Education:
• Bachelor's degree in film, broadcast, journalism, history, literature, humanities, communications, or equivalent work experience.
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $70,000 to $93,800 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
