FX Networks is seeking a Talent Relations Coordinator to support publicity activities as part of the Communications and Media Relations teams. This role with report to the Executive Director of Talent Relations and Events to coordinate all aspects of gifting and talent requests. This is a fast-paced environment so it is imperative to move quickly and professionally while getting the job done. The Coordinator must be creative, forward thinking and have their pulse on the latest trends! You must be result-oriented and should possess excellent planning, organizational and follow-up skills. Must be self-motivated, pay attention to detail and be able to communicate with senior staff and vendors.
Strong candidates can handle a vast amount of work and they are eager to learn. They are organized, thorough and excited to work long hours as no assignment should be too big or too small. Responsibilities will range from gifting execution and talent itineraries to maintaining talent databases and guest list management. You will be expected to learn about FX talent and recognize talent reps by both name and face. This role with interface with all facets of the FX organization and will work within the Media Relations division to support FX Networks publicity activities.
Responsibilities
• Help coordinate the day-to-day Talent Relations duties
• Gift research for start date gifts, wrap gifts and talent birthday gifts, as well as spearhead Execute network gifting; create and maintain gifting grids for the department
• Create detailed itineraries for talent at publicity events
• Work closely with the FX Travel Coordinator to ensure all travel documents are up to date and shared with the show-specific publicity team
• Help coordinate marketing shoots and attend local, LA shoots for FX programming
• Maintain department grids and RSVP lists for the Talent Relations and Events team
Qualifications
• Four year college degree required, preferably in communications or related field
• Must have at least 2 years of work experience in talent relations and events. Agency experience preferred
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and superior interpersonal skills
• Must be professional, adaptable and reliable
• Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Must be able to work some nights and weekends as needed to assist with events
