Line Producer
Future of StoryTelling
New York (Manhattan), NYThis is a Full Time Job
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Line Producer to lead day-to-day operations on a boundary-breaking, large-scale, multidisciplinary live production.
This is a hands-on role requiring a strong grasp of production logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and timeline oversight. You'll be responsible for translating a creative vision into a detailed production plan and ensuring it is delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest standard.
This role is about operational excellence-creating production schedules, coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing labor and vendor contracts, tracking costs and approvals, and ensuring all elements are aligned and integrated. You'll be expected to maintain smooth, ongoing communication between creative, technical, and production departments and keep the entire production team aligned throughout pre-production, build, rehearsal, and live execution phases.
Success in this position requires someone who can think on their feet, troubleshoot in real time, and balance rigorous attention to detail with flexibility and empathy. You'll thrive here if you're highly organized, self-starting, and love keeping things moving behind the scenes.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage detailed production schedules and budgets, ensuring adherence to scope and timeline.
• Lead cross-departmental coordination and communication between internal teams (creative, technical, operations) and external vendors.
• Oversee all aspects of production logistics, including venue coordination, load-in/load-out scheduling, crew management, and rehearsals.
• Source and manage third-party production partners and contractors, from scenic and staging to audio/visual and show control.
• Track and reconcile production expenses, flagging variances and providing accurate cost reporting to stakeholders.
• Maintain a calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure, adapting to evolving project needs while maintaining a high standard of execution.
• Ensure all safety protocols, insurance requirements, and risk management practices are upheld across the production lifecycle.
Qualifications:
• A seasoned line producer with 10+ years of experience leading feature-length films or large-scale live events.
• Experienced in complex, multi-partner productions.
• A meticulous planner who thrives on schedule, logistics, and spreadsheets.
• Excellent at fostering strong relationships with best-in-class creative collaborators, vendors, and clients.
• Low-ego and calm under pressure no matter how big of a project or tight of a deadline - quick to problem-solve, and always thinking three steps ahead.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic who is willing to put in long hours when needed
• Familiarity with union and non-union crew hiring and labor compliance.
• Experience with live events and state of the art technology (VFX, AI, etc.) are a plus.
