FuseFX has an opening in Los Angeles! We have an opportunity at our studio for an experienced and talented Office Coordinator, preferably with a background in television and/or feature film VFX, to join our creative team.
This is a part-time position which provides weekend support to our Los Angeles studio as well as acting as a back-up team member to our weekday crew.
FuseFX is an award-winning visual effects studio that works with all the major studios to unleash storylines and creative visions. Known for delivering boutique-style project management, we back that with the technology, efficiency, and work experience of a larger studio with locations in Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, and Atlanta.
Responsibilities:
Support for front desk duties - answering phones, receiving clients/visitors, checking media/drives in & out, regular restocking
Ordering and distributing meals for employees as needed
Restocking all offices (including kitchens and bathrooms) with necessary supplies, snacks, drinks, etc.
Preparing the facility for opening and closing, including locking and unlocking the building
Keeping an inventory of all office supplies & necessities and placing new supply orders on a regular basis (Costco, Amazon, Staples, IKEA, etc.)
Keeping office areas clean and organized (free of clutter, boxes, dishes, etc.)
Taking out trash and recycling as needed
Receiving and distributing any mail, office supplies, or supply orders
Backup support for Office Coordinator shifts as needed, which may include opening (7am), nights, and weekends
Communicating and coordinating any office problems or issues that may arise with upper management as needed
Coordinating and receiving any outside workers/techs who may come to address office issues
Miscellaneous office duties as needed (e.g. changing light bulbs, building office furniture, breaking down boxes, updating database, updating spreadsheets, event planning, various administrative tasks)
Traits of a successful FuseFX Office Coordinator:
Previous office coordination/administrative experience
Previous experience with visual effects/post-production
Great problem solving skills and strong initiative
Great team player, comfortable in a dynamic work environment
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Capable of multitasking and handling multiple requests in a timely manner
Bringing a positive attitude to work every day
Van Nuys area resident would be a big plus
