Fuse Media is currently seeking an experienced Director of Ad Sales for the west coast to support the Ad Sales team with prospecting, selling and expanding the company’s advertising revenue base. The ideal candidate will have a strong media sales background with a robust network of industry clients and prospects. This person will establish and grow a book of business and exceed pre-established activity and sales quota utlizing CRM tools to document sales activity. This position reports to the SVP of Ad Sales and is based in our Glendale, CA headquarters.
THE KEY BITS
• Generate profitable sales revenue while exceeding sales quotas and delivering a high level of customer service to media clients.
• Build a book of national clients, as well as local customers geo-targeting the determined market.
• Develop clients in target categories, including large media/entertainment organziations.
• Identify, qualify, call on and establish long-term business relationships.
• Present the value of the Fuse audience; continually building a strong sales pipeline of well qualified client revenue opportunities.
• Act as a consultative partner to executives in sales and finance to drive revenue and identify areas of oppotuntiy using the best vehicle(s) to drive business growth efforts.
• Utilize company CRM tool to track all sales activities and communications.
• Manage and maintain sales reports, pipelines and forecasts.
• Understand the TV/Streaming industry and competitive environment including knowledge of competitive product offerings.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
• 5-7 years of B2B sales experience, selling advertising or advertising like services; an entertainment background and strong working relationships with agencies and media clients required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training and hands-on experience.
• Experience closing sales and generating revenue and new business
• OTT experience a major plus
• Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; excellent time management.
• Respond quickly to client and management requests.
• Display original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness.
• Possess a passion for media and all things pop culture
