Full Time Job
Funny Or Die is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong appreciation of the impact of facilities on culture and effective business operations. This person will oversee a variety of facility operations such as improvements, lease terms, repairs, vendor management, office moves, parking, and a variety of other projects.
Facilities Management
• Manage facilities including lease negotiations, design conversations and construction projects
• Partner with executive team to roadmap company culture
• Negotiate and maintain various vendor contracts
• Develop and maintain relationships with building management; resolve issues and concerns between the parties
• Respond to and report emergency situations during work hours and off-hours
• Prepare, present and manage annual facilities budget
• Direct and oversee the day-to-day of facilities staff to assure timely, cost effective, and correct completion of work
• Ensure a continually efficient, clean, and optimized workspace
• Continually identify improvements, repairs and enhancements to office space
• Troubleshoot repairs as needed
Project Management & Planning
• Manage buildout of new offices and/or cubes and/or communal areas to optimize and improve the existing space
• When needed, research and identify new, viable office space
• Manage all details and communications related to inter-office moves and moves to new offices
• Partner with managers on workspace planning: planning for growth/change, optimizing desk/office layout and functionality
Employee Programs & Communication
• Design and manage a safety and emergency preparedness plan
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
• Draft and send communications to employees on a variety of facilities topics and issues
• Partner effectively with a variety of teams as it relates to the planning and execution of special events
Preferred Skills / Experience
• Ability to run projects, manage timelines, and project budgets
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• 3+ years' experience in facilities management position
• Entertainment company background is strongly preferred
• Experience managing facilities budgets and contract terms
• Experience negotiating with real estate professionals and building owners/management
• Experience mentoring / guiding team members
