Senior Account Executive, Public Relations (Fashion Team)
Reports To

Overview
The Senior Account Executive for the Fashion team serves as the day-to-day lead and a key client contact on specified accounts. This position reports to the Vice President of the Fashion team and provides comprehensive support to help drive media relations for the divisions' clients while helping to develop creative ideas and seeing them through to execution. At times, there will be collaboration with other members of the PR division as well as involvement in new business efforts.
The ideal candidate is a mature professional with solid experience in the PR industry and fashion sector; someone with equal parts smarts & polish who is a talented media relations pro with the ability to develop creative ideas; has solid project management skills including the ability to ensure that the big picture and the small details are managed with care; and operates with a sense of urgency and a desire to over-deliver on client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Helps to lead and manage selected accounts with guidance and direction from the division head
• Serve as day-to-day internal lead and external contact for selected accounts
• Lead on media relations for selected accounts and delivers meaningful press placements
• Network with industry professionals, media and talent to create new opportunities for the divisions' clients
• Develop and nurture strong, trusted relationships with all clients
• Ensure up to date knowledge of client goals, strategies and priorities
• Organize and lead brainstorm/ideation sessions with internal team members
• Ideate, develop, sell in, and execute client work
• Manage internal and/or external team members as per each account's requirements
• Keep division head apprised of account status including big ideas, issues and opportunities
• Participate as required in new business pitch submissions and meetings
Required Experience & Relationships
• Minimum five years in public relations with agency experience preferred (over in-house)
• Minimum two years in fashion sector with current knowledge of fashion brands and key players including executive and brand profile expertise
• Minimum one year of client management experience
• Hands-on experience writing clear, interesting, effective press releases, media alerts, press pitches, and other materials
• Established relationships with long lead, short lead and online editors in at least two of the following sectors: fashion, accessories, luxury, art + design
• Established relationships with fashion, parenting, and wellness influencers
Required Skills & Attributes
• Passionate about the fashion and lifestyle industries and popular culture
• Demonstrated history of successfully securing meaningful press placements for clients
• Natural affinity for client service and experience working with a variety of client types and personalities
• Skilled and comfortable presenting to clients in both formal and informal settings
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to work well and remain both calm and solution-oriented under pressure, i.e., multiple deadlines and tight turnaround schedules
