How do I hire a Cash Accountant? Job Description - The Cash Accountant has primary responsibility for the Management of Cash for FMNA and Original Production entities. The position also performs other financial analysis and support as required. The position reports to the Assistant Controller, who assists and is responsible for the overall financial reporting for FMNA and group reporting for other FMNA entities.
Responsibilities
• Primary responsibility for the daily management of cash for FMNA and Original Productions within defined cash management policies
• Daily posting of bank activity and timely resolution of reconciling items and discrepancies
• Daily reporting of cash position
• Weekly forecasting of cash inflows, outflows, and needs
• Monthly reporting of cash positions to RTL Treasury
• Manage operational banking relationship
• Cash Funding Management
• Maintains Cash ledgers by verifying and posting cash transactions
• Preparation of KA (Cash) Reporting
• Account Management duties such as coordination of bank account set up and closing, maintaining bank signatory file, and credit card program i.e. opening and closing cards and dispute resolution.
• Financial Reporting for all Dormant Entities
• Perform other duties as required
Requirements
• Finance, Accounting or Business Administration degree preferred
• Strong Analytical and process-oriented mind
• Confident and enthusiastic team player
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage priorities
• Strong working experience and knowledge of EPR systems, preferably SAP and Business Warehouse; experience with production accounting software is a plus.
• Previous cash management and reporting experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
