Spring Intern - Film & TV Development

Free Association (MAGIC MIKE, 22 JUMP ST, DOG), a film & television production company, is looking for Remote Spring Interns.

Please note - the internship program is remote, so we encourage interested applicants outside of LA to apply as well!

ELIGIBILITY:
• Internship will run from January 2024 - April/May 2024.
• Exact start/end dates are flexible.
• Commitment is 2-3 full days a week (16-24 hours/week).
• Ability to receive school credit is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• script coverage
• Review & Cover Incoming Materials (samples/books/films...etc.)
• Monitor Intern Email & other Admin work.
• Research

We are looking for hardworking, personable candidates with strong writing abilities and a passion for Film and Television. Interns will be given an open door to engage in the development of ongoing company projects and to review and consider incoming material. Interns should walk away from the program with an understanding of the development process and the skills and experience to handle an entry-level job in the entertainment industry.

Additional Comments: Free Association (FA) is an Entertainment & Film Production company led by principals Channing Tatum, Reid Carolin, & Peter Kiernan. FA brings more than a decade of experience producing movies and television as well as developing innovative pop culture business extensions of franchise content. FA recently produced the highly anticipated films, P ISLAND, Zoe Kravitz's directorial debut, as well as DOG, co-directed by Tatum and Carolin, who also wrote the script. Released theatrically in 2022 during Covid, DOG became one of the biggest box office hits that year, grossing over 85 million with a budget of 15 million. Other hits produced by FA include the 21 JUMPSTREET and MAGIC MIKE film franchises and FATHERHOOD with Kevin Hart. FA is currently in pre-production on SPARKELLA, the film adaptation of Tatum's NYT Best Selling children's book series, and in post-production on the drama, SPACEMAN, starring Adam Sandler, Carey Mulligan and Paul Dano. In television, FA executive produced ''FINDING MAGIC MIKE'' for HBO MAX, as well as the STARZ Original Series, ''STEP UP: HIGHWATER.'' In 2022, FA launched FA Live, a division focusing on creating, producing and distributing live entertainment which will seek to extend stories and experiences from all of their live projects. FA created and continues to produce the internationally acclaimed entertainment experience, MAGIC MIKE LIVE. Launched in 2017, over 1.2 million people have attended their sold-out shows in Las Vegas and London, with past limited engagements in Australia and Berlin. MAGIC MIKE LIVE'S US Tour debuted in 2023 in Miami and Dallas, with the next stop planned in New York.
