Need a Arri Alexa Camera Operator March 14th, March 15th, March 21st, March 22nd. Must be able to drive to Reseda, Sylmar, Eagle Rock and Compton. 7am-6pm days.
If you have 1st AC experience perfect but not required.
Shooting a major short film for Tribeca and Sundance and using an Arri Alexa 35 camera. The Director is also acting in the movie, therefore when the Director is not behind the camera operating it, the Camera Operator will be operating the camera. Will need a Camera Operator to pan/tilt camera when the Director is not operating the camera. The camera will be on a tripod at all times and only taken off when adjusting the tripod or moving the camera. The camera operator will assist with moving camera from location to location on set. The Camera Operator's ONLY job will to be operate the camera when the Director is not using it. The Director will have their hands on the camera 95% of the time. Camera Operator will be given guidance on what the Director wants to shot to look like. Two people will always have their hands on the camera. The camera is 8lbs and will have a cage on it. Two PA's will also be there to assist with the camera. Thus, when the camera operator steps away or Director steps away, the PA has their hands on the camera holding it. PA will assist with minor camera attachments and detachments with guidance and/or taking equipment out of the boxes with guidance. The Alexa 35 is an expensive camera and cannot be damaged in anyway.
