WJBK's Sales Department is seeking an individual for an immediate opportunity as a Sales Assistant. Individual will perform administrative and office support activities for the Local Sales Manager and the Local Account Executives. Key responsibilities include assisting with proposals, weekly posting, inputting orders and solving discrepancies. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for maintaining all prime and sports boards, including formats and format changes; maintain ticket requests and distribution of tickets; run and distribute pre-emption reports for both Local and National Accounts; paid programming, view tapes and input orders; pull and email spot times for necessary clients; local and national pending reports (weekly); maintain and process Local Sales Manager expense reports; coordinate travel for Sales Management; answering phones, assisting clients, taking messages; and ordering supplies.
Understanding of local spot television industry as a whole, especially as it pertains to advertisers, commercials and spot log reporting, highly preferred. Must have the proven ability to multi-task with multiple clients and multiple duties within the traffic system. Must have strong organizational and verbal communication skills. Sound attention to detail is critical. Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast paced environment is essential. Able to work overtime when necessary. High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
