Production Assistant, Fox News Night With Shannon Bream
Fox News is looking for an exceptional Production Assistant to join our Washington, D.C. "Fox News @ Night" team. As a PA, you have the ability to recognize good visuals and content with high potential for provocative, compelling television and pitch guests that will inform and enlighten our viewers. You are a proactive, passionate, and self-motivated individual. You handle breaking news well and can deal effectively with last-minute changes and multi-tasking. You are a team player that works well with diverse editorial staff, guests, and technical teams.
You will be offered the following shift: Monday thru Friday from 5pm to 1am ET
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Locate video and soundbites and receive legal permission by coordinating with the desk and other individuals
• Edit video and soundbites for air and assist producers in package producing taped interviews and field pieces
• Delegate edit requests and coordinate needs between show staff
• Catch and prevent visual and factual errors
• Build graphics and lower thirds that help emphasize and enlighten the viewer on the news subject at hand
• Build contacts and develop unique sources that allow you the opportunity to pitch and produce informative guest segments
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize on a daily basis, and especially in breaking news situations
• Strong communication skills, which may also include writing and copyediting skills
• Experience pitching guests and segments
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Experience with iNews and Viz systems
• Bachelor's degree with intern experience in television news
