Edit video for daily live television news broadcasts. Record and import video and media files from multiple sources. Coordinate with other members of newsroom team in assembling stories. Work with broadcast engineers in maintaining and problem solving video editing and storage systems as necessary. Non-linear editing experience required. Experience using Grass Valley Edius editing software and Bitcentral video systems strongly preferred. General understanding of television news operations and news videography techniques. Previous small to medium market experience as a news video editor or videographer. Knowledge of newsroom computer systems. Knowledge of libel and defamation laws. Must be able to communicate well with others and be a team player. Must be able to work a weekday overnight schedule. Provide a demo reel of work in resume/cover letter.
