News Editor / Producer & Update Anchor

Full Time Job
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Producer/Editor and Update Anchor to handle on-air anchoring, along with producer and editor responsibilities in a hybrid mode based on scheduling assignments. The news content will be written, produced, edited and broadcast for our terrestrial syndication affiliates, and Fox News Headlines 24/7 platforms on SXM Radio.

As the full-time Producer/Editor you are our editorial leader, working with news anchors to craft the content and structure of a 24/7 news operation. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven newsroom allows you to deliver top-quality segments/newscasts. You excel at multi-tasking and pay close attention to details. Your writing and editing skills are excellent and your editorial judgment is first-rate.

As this is a hybrid role, full-time Update Anchor will also be part of your weekly duties, news content will be written and broadcast for our terrestrial syndication affiliates, and Fox News Headlines 24/7 platforms on SXM Radio.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Format, program, coordinate, and produce a live news program
• Produce segments and reporter hits
• Manage and keep clear communication with Reporters, Editors, Assignment desk and Anchors
• Keep newscast updated by working on developing stories as the day progresses
• Handle staffing issues when managers are not present
• When needed, anchor on Fox News Headlines 24/7 Sirius XM Channel 115 and Terrestrial Radio Stations Nationally across our affiliate network
• Write for a one hour live National Network headlines service
• Write 5-minute and 1-minute news updates for our Terrestrial Stations Nationally
• Full-time schedule will include weekend coverage

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• At least 3-5 years' experience editing all-news radio or producing live breaking news in a television control room or radio newsroom
• Experience in on-air work for news platforms
• Experience working as a News Anchor
• Highly skilled in writing and copy editing
• Strong editorial judgment
• Ability to handle breaking News situations
• Ability to interact with high-profile talent
• Ability to work well with a team environment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• A positive attitude and great communication skills

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
• Knowledge of iNews, ENCO and Adobe Audition (Cool-Edit)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $73,000.00-92,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
