Field / Studio Technician

Fox News is looking for a dedicated and experienced Freelance Field/Studio Technician for a multi-camera remote studio based in Southwest Florida. As the Freelance Field/Studio Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting with transmission and technical aspects of the show at a remote studio location where some of our programming originates.

You may be asked to report on-site to a dedicated remote location for various shifts as needed from October - May; you must be based in Southwest Florida.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate with Fox News Channel ENG teams on the setup of multi-camera remote studio
• Coordinate transmission with NYC Tech Managers, Satellite Desk, and Transmission
• Troubleshoot all technical issues on location with show teams in the field and back in NY
• Troubleshoot all technical issues on location with New York City Tech Manager
• Mic and IFB guests as needed
• Stage Manage LIVE shows as needed
• Assist Anchor/Field Producer as requested

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in communications is preferred, or equivalent experience
• Relevant work experience
• 3+ years of technical experience
• Ability to work under pressure, be decisive, detail-oriented, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work with high-profile talent
• Work well as part of a team

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $31.50-42.07 per hour. We provide Freelancers with healthcare and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
