Part Time Unpaid Internship
20th Century Fox Film Co. has been a pillar of the film industry for nearly one hundred years. As a film studio, we've created such beloved classics as The Sound of Music, Star Wars, Titanic and Avatar, and recent groundbreaking hits like Deadpool, The Shape of Water and Hidden Figures. Our deep love of film and dedication to powerful storytelling means we are always striving to find new, exciting ways to bring stories to our audience.
The 20CF Film Operations Strategy team seeks an undergraduate student with a background and interest in the entertainment industry, film history and social media to assist in the launch of a new creative initiative. The intern will directly support the content and production lead on the project, as well as assist the operations and marketing leads as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of project leads from our marketing, PR, home entertainment and digital groups, as well as external agencies, partners and vendors
• Help manage production calendar, track deadlines and deliverables
• Attend team meetings, record notes, communicate follow ups to the appropriate teams
• Research and create reports on online fan communities for different 20CF properties; identify fan community influencers, trends, events and opportunities to leverage zeitgeist moments
• Create social media comp profiles for film properties
• Ad hoc research on films, filmmakers and topics related to project content
• Assist with logistical planning of recordings and live events
QUALIFICATIONS
• Preferred applicants will be enrolled in film, performing arts or marketing programs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proficient with collaboration tools such as Slack, Quip, Zoom and Box
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and marketing; ability to pull analytics and insights a plus
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to anticipate needs and potential conflicts
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter, maturity, creative thinking, flexibility and eagerness to work in a high-intensity environment
• MUST have a passion for film and be a content consumer
To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
• Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
