Under the general supervision of the Vice President - Labor Relations:
Designs, plans, and implements the company's labor relations programs, policies, and procedures for Fox's feature film and television production divisions (TCFFC, Fox Searchlight, Fox 2000, TCFTV, Fox 21, FTVS), Fox Broadcasting Company, as well as Home Entertainment and Studio Facilities, including backlot departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties as assigned):
•Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with labor organizations that represent employees, negotiating and administering labor agreements and otherwise conferring with labor organizations on behalf of management, and providing guidance, consultation, and assistance to management on a variety of labor relations matters.
•Analyzes collective bargaining agreement to develop interpretation of intent, and terms of contract.
•Advises management and union officials in development, application, and interpretation of labor relations policies and practices.
•Investigate and resolve grievances between grieving workers/union and the company.
•Prepares statistical reports, using records of actions taken concerning grievances, discipline, arbitration and related labor relations activities, to identify problem areas.
•Monitors implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions, to ensure compliance with terms of labor contracts.
•Furnishes information, such as reference documents and statistical data concerning labor legislation, labor market conditions, prevailing union and management practices, wage and salary surveys, and employee benefits programs, for use in review of current contract provisions and proposed changes.
•Develop negotiation strategies and prepare proposals.
•Represent management in labor contract negotiations.
•Train management personnel concerning collective bargaining agreements and negotiated changes.
•Experience working in Broadcast / Entertainment Industry and interactions with Industry Unions and Guilds is preferred.
•Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
•Seven or more years progressively complex related experience.
•Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time and have strong finance and analytical abilities, strategic thought, excellent communication skills, and ability to work variable hours.
•Other duties as assigned.
