Booker / Researcher, The Evening Edit With Elizabeth Macdonald

We are looking for a confident, highly motivated, proactive Booker/Researcher to join our team. As a Booker/Researcher for The Evening Edit with Elizabeth MacDonald on FOX Business, you will be responsible for pitching stories, booking guests, writing scripts, and selecting/building elements in a collaborative team environment. You are well versed in news, politics, business, and current events - and innately curious about everything else. You are a clever writer & excellent researcher who sees value in discovering unique angles/approaches to stories that no one else will find.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Help book a variety of guests and compile well-rounded pre-interviews
• Find and build elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics
• Produce segments, guest intros, and banners
• Fact check and conduct in-depth research
• Pitch unique and interesting guests, stories, and segments
• Additional responsibilities based on your unique talents/abilities
• Manage daily deadline turnarounds of a live-show

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 1-3 years of prior television (or similar) experience
• Strong knowledge of politics, business news, and current events; familiarity with politicians, commentators, and opinion makers
• Ability to work collaboratively with others under intense deadline pressure
• Ability to work independently and make smart decisions on your own
• Willingness to listen, learn and grow from constructive criticism

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $55,500.00-65,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $46,200.00-54,100.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
