Associate Weather Producer / Forecaster

FOX Weather is looking for an Associate Weather Producer/Forecaster to join our team in the NY Bureau. The Associate Weather Producer/Forecaster will play an important role in driving accurate, informative, and compelling weather coverage across various platforms. Supporting the linear stream production team and digital content team, you will provide meteorological guidance, assist with content creation across platforms, and help ensure the FOX Weather audience is provided with the most accurate, informative, and impactful weather content.

The Associate Weather Producer/Forecaster must be available to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch weather content ideas, produce weather segments and provide meteorological guidance
• Assist weather producers in updating daily weather graphics using TWC Max
• Monitor and analyze weather data to provide forecast guidance across all platforms
• Play a crucial role during severe weather coverage, provide support to Weather Presentation Team
• Work closely with Weather Producers/Meteorologists to ensure consistent look, feel, and process
• Assist with troubleshooting issues with graphics platforms
• Craft comprehensive weather editorial and graphics for a forecast-driven show
• Drive severe weather coverage using the Ross Dashboard

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 1+ years experience in a broadcast television environment with TWC MAX
• Passion for understanding weather communication
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to create in a collaborative environment that fosters teamwork
• Enthusiasm for new products and platforms, and the creative energy to ignite great ideas
• Ability to work under intense deadline pressure
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts based on the needs of a live production environment

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $61,000.00-70,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
