FOX Weather is looking for a sharp, resourceful, and highly motivated Administrative Assistant to support the President of FOX Weather. This is not a traditional administrative role - this is a high-impact position at the center of a fast-moving, national weather news organization, collaborating closely with all Fox News Media and Fox Corporation businesses. The right candidate moves quickly, thinks clearly under pressure while exercising sound judgement, and communicates with both polish and professionalism. You are exceptional at prioritizing tasks in a high-stakes newsroom environment. This role sits at the intersection of breaking weather news, business strategy, and executive leadership where you will serve as a trusted partner to the President. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively partner with the President to help manage high-profile projects under deadline
• Manage and triage all outreach to the executive office with timely follow-up, including phone calls, emails, and mail
• Handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally
• Manage a complex calendar of virtual and in-person meetings, strategically prioritizing time and adjusting seamlessly as news warrants
• Anticipate executive needs and take steps to ensure projects run seamlessly
• Organize and maintain an up-to-date contact directory, shared calendars, and executive documents
• Handle all aspects of travel and engagements, including booking transportation, creating itineraries, and processing expenses
• Act as a liaison across departments, ensuring alignment between programming, digital, sales, operations and leadership for all tasks
• Ensure the executive's office and newsroom equipment is functioning properly, and coordinate any necessary maintenance or repairs
• Communicate professionally with all levels of management and talent, both within the company and externally
• Help facilitate special events and executive presentations
• Support and pitch ideas to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of daily operations
• Manage inventory and distribution of company merchandise to appropriate parties
• Monitor competitor coverage
• Conduct research for competitive analysis, new technologies and more
• Deliver monthly internal reports with accuracy and executive-ready formatting
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvements to operational efficiencies
• Support ad hoc company projects
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and in person
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented, and capable of tracking multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with the media/communication industry's concepts, practices, and procedures
• Exemplary time management skills
• Skilled at both taking direction and working independently as needed
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini
• Quick learner and active listener
• Flexibility to adjust work schedule to accommodate business needs/special events
• Positive 'Can Do' approach to challenges
• Finally, a strong interest in weather isn't mandatory, but it definitely helps!
