This is a rare opportunity to join one of Florida's top tv stations. WTVT-FOX 13 in Tampa is looking to hire a nightside Multi-Media Journalist and weekend evening anchor. As a three day a week, nightside MMJ you will innovate, shoot, write, and edit compelling content across every platform, from the linear newscast to a breaking news live stream. On the weekend, you'll report and co-anchor our evening news.
We want a journalist who has evolved beyond linear television thinking and workflows. The content you create will be designed for all our news platforms. It's not always about turning a news package, it's about connecting with our viewers to tell stories for all platforms. As a weekend co-anchor, we want someone who can go beyond the script and fuel meaningful conversations, connect with audiences, and bring curiosity, insight, and personality to every story.
Job Snapshot:
• Solo Field Production: Shoot, write, and edit high-quality news video for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Linear & Streaming Expert: Produce and present extended, unscripted live content from the field for our newscasts and live stream.
• On-Air Presence: Present stories live in-studio when anchoring and from remote locations when reporting, taking full ownership of the final content and delivery.
• Digital & Social First: Write sharp, effective text copy for our digital sites and maintain an active social media presence.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a reporter and anchor is preferred. A reel that demonstrates your ability to shoot, edit and produce content will get you noticed. This is not an entry-level position or a position for candidates who do not have a news gathering background.
Salary/Benefits
$95,000 - $110,000 /year USD

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas and duopolies in 11 DMAs, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Eighteen of these stations are affiliated with the FOX Network, which distributes sports, entertainment, and syndicated content. Collectively, the stations produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news each week and are evolving to serve viewers as a streaming-first news organization, leveraging demand for the FOX Network's national content.
